My husband and I love birds, and we had Cardinals in our yard before just 20 miles away, and now they are gone... what can we do to attract these beautiful birds?

Cardinals favorite seed is sunflower seed. Fill several feeders with only sunflower seeds and maybe a few others with the mixed seed. Another thing that I do is put out several blocks of suet. You can get all different kinds and they sell the small cages that the suet goes into. Fasten them to a tree.

I agree, cardinals do love their sunflower seeds. They also like to have some bushes or brush near by as a safe place to hide coming or going to the feeder.
