You have to be careful. If your parents will flip out if you tell them then I would give them the "But, I'm a teenager!". If you know your parents are going to be cool with it I would ease it on to them and then tell them, blatently. Just don't screw this up because your dating life during your school years is going to be a big challenge if you do.

unless you are below 18, i do not see why you cant tell your parents.
bring her home for dinner.
but before that alert your parents and remember to ask your girl if she is ready to meet your parents.
