I don't think Bush can even spell Africa or find it on a map.
That too goes some way towards explaining why he doesn't seem to care.
mymadsky:
Pay attention, bro - he's talking about BUSH and Africa, not America and Africa. You yourself pointed it out - America did a lot for Africa in the 90's, but not now that Bush is in charge.

While oil may be a factor, the U.S. has publicly said that the reason for the invasion was due to the threat created by Saddam Hussein, possible WMDs, and many violations of UN regulations. If this were true or not doesn't matter, the U.S. provided some kind of reasoning for going to war which at the time was enough to include support from many other nations who offered support for the war and many countries still have troops in Iraq, in support of the war. If the U.S. just attacked random nations for human rights violations, the U.S. would become such a terror that the rest of the world would not accept it.

the U. S. spends greater in Africa than the different u . s . a . on earth. Even Africans help you recognize this. My husband is African, does not like Bush, yet help you recognize that the U. S. has helped his u . s . a . greater beneficial than the different u . s . a .. verify it out. There are data in this. additionally, if the UN had listened to the U. S. greater beneficial than 15 years in the past, the Sudan does no longer be the mess that's in the present day. i think of maybe the U. S. could desire to have began flouting UN decrees an prolonged time in the past. To thrteenthtwist. you're very, very incorrect regarding the French. inspect all the former French colonies in Africa, and then inspect the former British ones. which of them have the greater efficient infrastructures? My husband is from a former French colony. They got here in, took what they needed, did no longer worry the locals too plenty, yet left no legacy yet poorly drawn borders and inequalities. additionally, the UN has blown it in Liberia. Sexual abuse between UN help workers there is rampant. UN peacekeepers are additionally stressful intercourse from the locals. returned, the U. S. has achieved greater for Africa than the different u . s . a .. verify it out. by how, Africa does have oil. in fact Nigeria is busily siphoning it off from its neighboring international locations as we style.

I think you would be saying the same thing if we went into those countries, except you would be saying it about Iraq and complaining that there was no reason to go into the African countries.
Why is Bush always considered selfish, i mean look at the picture. Why would Bush (who has plenty of money) care about what oil prices are? To me it seems like he is doing it for the Iraqi people and not oil. Unless you want to say he is doing it for oil, and thus the American people.

Well let us check the FACTS:
The US has pledged and donated 4 times more aid to Africa than ALL nations of the world combined.
US did in fact carry out military aid operations in Somalia and Ethiopia throughout the 90's. The citizens of those countries attacked and killed US troops parading their bodies through their towns in the most barbaric of ways.
Seems you have bought into the world's media anti-American bias.

Because Bush thinks that Saddam has potential weapons that could eventually threaten the USA.. and Sudan and Ethiopia countries do not. (the other reason could be oil)
