Hi, the river thames has them (just past the queen Elizabeth bridge at Dartford M25, there is a place just upstream from Dartford called Erith there is a jetty there, the blokes there catch loads, (i have seen the creepy little blighters) from borehamwood it will take you approx 40 mins on the M25 going towards Dartford

I'm going to assume crayfish in the UK are about like crayfish in the US. Take a milk carton and cut it in half. Sink the lower half in a shallow part of the stream or river (put a rock in it; the lip of the carton should be just under the surface by about 1"). Put a half-slab of bacon in the carton, and come back the next day. You'll have crayfish.

Hiya,
the river Nairn in the north of Scotland is infested with Red Signal Crayfish. No problem catching them.

I have seen them in clean freshwater streams in the limestone areas of the Peak District. I don't think they were large enough to eat (American-style) though!
