If you run away from life, what would you have left to stay alive?

Yes I always do. I always wish I could run away from the challenges. It's a never-ending emotional circle round and round.

I first thought that knowing more about a challenge (e.g. researching before you work) in advance would make me fear less, but sometimes the more we know, the more we get ourselves worried. Why can't I do it with full confidence just being how I am? As I was designed to be like this and I'm not to blame? I know I will succeed in anything if I could keep the confidence.

And as the feeling of fear grows, there would come a voice bugging me to run away from my life (e.g. to give up and leave the job, or worse, to commit suicide) I always thought when I was totally confident that this kind of thoughts would never ever show up once again in my life but they always came back uninvited!

Wanting to run away, not knowing simply by going through it we will actually make the issue smaller and eventually solve it.

When you fear, remember and believe in this only truth: Go through it!

Where would you go? Take a mini-vacation. Cut off your cellphone; close the drapes; lock the doors, take off all your clothes, and watch your favorite movie(s), and eat a bag of Oreos. The next day, face life with a renewed spirit. Tackle your most difficult challenge, and get it behind you.

Do this once a month. You'll feel better.

Sometimes.... Life does tend to have a way of wearing us down and stressing us out. However, when I find myself with that kind of wish, it usually means I need to step back and take another look at what I'm doing or how I'm viewing things.

To paraphrase Mr. Miyagi: "When life seems out of balance, return to basic of life." "Breath.... No breath, no life."

sounds like you could use a break from the everyday of your life. sometimes just taking a drive, or a long walk helps. but try to find something you enjoy that you don't get much of a chance to do and make time for it. mine is daydreaming, I could spend hours just daydreaming in a hammock! try it.

I think most people at one time or another fantasize about running away from their current situation. Most people are strong enough and responsible enough to resist the urge.

Yes many times but I keep thinking of this picture I saw it's of God and says, "I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it." Best wishes to you.

Not run away, but definately start over, or somewhere new where no-one knows me.

Yes; but you have to face it and embrace it or you'll be running all your life.
