Actually, spread the cards as you said above- put ring + bird fingers towards back and put thumbs towards each other on front -bend cards and let go with thumbs- should be a ripping-type noise.

a minor can not check into a hotel without their parent or legal guardian. Also you must show the credit card upon check in. You will not be able to stay at a hotel without an adult....especially in Las Vegas. You can not be on any casino floor if you are under 21. What kind of parents would let thier child, that is a minor get a hotel in Las Vegas alone. Not very responsible parents. It is very possible that the hotel staff will report you if you try.
