pls...this is for our project..i'm wondering if rats would die if we would give them chocolates...

No, chocolate does not kill rats. They love it.

Yes, NEVER feed yr pet dog choc, cuz it will start foaming at the mouth, have seizures and....you dont want me to go into gruesome details right?

As far as rats are concerned, they share similar genetic profile as guinea pigs and no its NOT poison for rats.Rats are universal scavengers , putting it scientifically and eat and assimilate anything , except rat poison of course!

They don't seem to be sensitive to the caffeine or to the theobromine.

Anyway, even if they WERE---why waste chocolate on rats and mice? It's gotta be really, really AWFUL or stale, before it's completely unusable, in my opinion----with enough doctoring, fondue can salvage almost anything....(g)

That is a very good question.I'm not sure though but I had no idea about chocolate when my dog died years ago he loved chocolate ice cream
