if i use a 20oz bottle instead of an 2 liter bottle, would it still be a good geiser???

I don't think so. The geyser only lasts a few seconds with a 2 liter bottle. It works best with diet coke. Something to do with the sugar content in other carbonated drinks, they think. Have fun. The link below has some information about different candy and pop other people have used as well as a video of an experiment theys guys did. The video is really amazing.

It will but for a shorter time. The reaction will be as strong as the one with the 2 liter bottle but it won't be able to push the bottle for longer distances. Try it!

Give it a try. I imagine it might also have to do with the quantity of mentos.

it won't shoot as high but it will still work.
