Yes. You should be able to find out the sex of the baby, as long as the baby isn't crossing his/her legs. I found out I was having a boy at 17 1/2 weeks.

You can tell at 16 weeks in most cases, but most obgyns will make you wait until 20 weeks so they can also look for other things...like down syndrome and to make sure development is healthy. At 16 weeks, the fetal genitals are sufficiently developed to be able to tell, providing the baby cooperates and lets the ultrasound tech get a look.

I don't think you will. If I remember correctly, when I was pregnant I had to wait until about the end of my fifth month. You are about four months and a week. You still have a little waiting to do. You see, by the fifth month everything that decides the baby's sex is fully developed and easy to "read". Before then, It would be guess work and you will probably get the wrong info.

As long as your baby wants to let you know what he or she is then yup you can. Anywhere from 16 weeks on they can tell. I'm pregnant with our second baby we have the boy and we I wanted a girl... Thank god I got her but we almost didn't get to find out at 17 weeks for she had her legs crossed as tight as she possible could for have the doctors visit. I had to poke my belly really hard then her legs finally popped open. Good luck hope you get what you wanted just remember even if you wanted the opposite sex love it any way there's always next time. I honestly never wanted a boy and was kinda mad when they told me but as soon as he was born I just loved him to death and actually wouldn't mind having another boy now.

It all depends on the position of the baby and the size of the mother. If the mother is thin, and the baby is in the ideal position, I would say there is a good chance. If you wait until 20 weeks the likelihood of you finding out the sex increases dramatically. Also, it depends on how many years experience the sonographer has that is doing your scan.

yes they can tell you what the sex of the baby is at 17 weeks they can usually tell you what the sex is a 16 weeks. It all depends on weather your baby wants to cooperate with the doctor at the time of the ultra sound. i had twin boys and they where able to tell me at 16 weeks what their sex was. good luck and congrats.

I just came from the doctors my self and I am 13 weeks I asked the doctor IF he can tell me the sex of the baby because one of his nurses I know and she said he was VERY GOOD. He told me I was having a boy yet, do NOT hold my breath until my 4th month and he could tell me for sure. SO, I would tell you at being 17 weeks your doctor could DEFIANTLY tell you the sex of your baby. CONGRATS! BEST WISHES
