I'm planning to visiting Dubai next January with my family, and we prefer to rent an apartment in Dubai or Sharjah which sleeps 5 persons, any ideas?

i would suggest you stay in sharjah bcos the rent would be much more cheaper and anyway sharjah is just 10 minutes drive from dubai.
most of the apartments would needed to be booked for a month but there are few that let you to book for half a month, need to check with sharjah yellow pages and confirm.
staying in sharjah would cost you less than $700

In Dubai it's expensive, better to rent in Sharjah, you can get resonable price around US $$ 500. Good Luck.

but in Dubai 2bedrooms is 45000Dr per year means about 4000 per month and its not the best you can find... i don't know about sharjah except its really cheaper than this and i also can't help in renting for a week or less than a month!!
