I am continuously feeling dizzy at work, and it is really starting to affect me, as i have to step out of the room every 5 minutes to compose my self. I dont know whether its the bright lights, computer screen, or just me panicing too much. I have some pills prescribed from the doctor (Stemetil) but they dont seem to work either. Make me feel worse if anything. Can someone help me and tell me what i can do at work, not to feel dizzy or distant, as evrything i look at, seems distant or as if iv had a few pints.

Kind Regards
Mike

Mike, get a new doctor. Seriously, go get a physical and tell your doctor what is going on. Every detail is important. Has anything new happened to you that may have started this problem? Get help! Good luck.

I totally agree with answer #1, but want to add your dizzy symptoms kinda sound like mine. I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).

Since you are already under care for panic attacks, it is possible you do have it, or some other condition resulting from high insulin (hyperinsulinemia). Having your doctor prescribe a fasting blood insulin test may be a good start. My reading and my then doctor who was an internist indicated 10 is borderline high in American adults.

In the meantime, check out low blood sugar on www.hufa.org. You may want to check out the symptoms link, and see if you have any of the other symptoms too. Do you have a family history of diabetes or heart trouble?

Most probably, it's your eyes. Kindly see an eye doctor. Maybe you need to wear an eyeglass. But then, try to see your doctor, too for blood examination. I hope you don;t have high blood pressure. If you feel dizzy, never ever lay down, Or else, you will have a blood clot in your brain. All you have to do so as to lessen your dizziness, acupressure your fingertips with your fingernails. Also, wash your face with cold water and put a cold wet hanky or face towel on your nape.

well, first tell your doctor the pills are not working for you, then make him investigate it further. this could be a neurological issue, probably low grade epilepsy, so maybe you'd want to see a specialist, too. check out your work environment thoroughly and see in which ways it is physically different from your home environment, lighting and all that. of course if it only happens at work it might be a psychological problem too, for instance you might have a lot of stress there. consider all these possbilities and more, and tell your doctor EVERYTHING!

Could be reaction to the medicine.
Could be your ears throwing your equilibrium off.

Make an appointment with your doc or see the company nurse but right now I would take an anti inflammatory like Advil or aspirin (thinking it might be your ears)
