I'm thinking of buying a 2004 Redline with 28,000 miles on it....and putting a transferable bumper to bumper warranty on it through to 75,000 or 100,000 miles. I'm sure the car was driven at least a bit hard, and I would drive it hard a fair amount of the time.
I'm concerned that even with an extended warranty, the car might be in the shop a lot, and that after the warranty, the car might be at risk of being rendered worthless by the drivetrain failing.
I've heard supercharged cars wear out fast.
Any thoughts?

Don't worry about it! My Pontiac GTP was a 1997 and I sold it with 160 thousand miles. Yes there is some stress on supercharger cars. My car has smaller blower pulley for even more boost and power. GMC cars with superchargers are really reliable and a good alternative to larger engines. IF you don't use the boost you don't use much more fuel than a normally aspirated engine
