Dr Randall..please don't let me think that you think that that is all homosexuality is about..you're telling a lot more about yourself.

I'm really surprised by Dr Randall,coodles,orchidmg,sleepwalker69..these are the people who don't seem to be able to understand the question..such limited intellect!? wow!...Tommyblue you are absolutely correct--They ARE the ones with the dirty minds...they can't seem to understand that homosexuality has little to do really with sex....they are really pathetic..It always surprises me when I see how ignorant some people really are...and why this subject is so difficult...they just don't get it! They think it's all about penises is holes!.. And the collective sound of their ignorance is deafening.

I read your question, then......I saw the answers. If nothing else, your question provoked the very people you speak of into coming out of the woodwork. Truly, it is sad when people's lives are so pathetic, empty, dreary and disheartening that they feel compelled to denigrate another persons' life. Alas, since the dawn of religion and power, gays have had to endure this constant attack upon their person and spirit, but, consider this, as hard as they have tried, having brutalized, raped, beaten and murdered us over the millenia, WE ARE STILL HERE. I can guarantee you that fact alone galls them. How dare we continue to live and love. For a group so hated by their God, we seem pretty resilient to their attacks, it makes you wonder who God's chosen really are. Afterall, to have endured so much and still keep our humour, demeanour, dignity and love intact surely indicates, if not a divine, at least a helping hand from above.

Let them chew on that for awhile and see what they think. Finally it always comes down to this, why do they care so much about where we put our C**K!

We as a society have many things that could better occupy our time and energy than spending the time and the energy that it takes to hate others for their sexual orientation . I have always been amazed at the reaction of people toward gay men and women . America is suppose to be the land of the free and the land of opportunity , the laws of society in this country dictate the opposite . We to other nations in the world are the land of the oppressed and the downtrodden socially . The Rest of the world accept and have a place in their society for homosexuals and have of hundreds of years . The government as well as the leftist religious sect are constantly busy lobbing to pass laws to keep homosexual rights in the dark ages . If the situation were reversed and the laws made it wrong for heterosexuals to be together then they would see what a stupid society they live in . If only people could put themselves in our position they would understand that all we want is to be happy and left alone . Pearl Buck when ask about homosexual love said " If its love how can it be wrong , we have enough hate in the world . Love in any form is a gift from God "

People will always find something to complain about if it is not what they prefer, I guess that is human nature. The world would be a better place if there were not so many bigots, but what can you do? Just ignore them I think is the best way. I live in a very small redneck town in Ga. and I have no problem with anyone here, and that is probably because they got to know me as a person before they discovered my sexual orientation(if they have), I don't flaunt it. As far as Dr. Randall goes NOT all gays push their agenda on other people, I am completely content just being happy with my partner and being home, and I don't care what other people think of my relationship because it is none of their business anyway. We both work hard, pay our bills, shop at the grocery store, just like EVERYONE else, straight or gay.

People are disingenuous. They'd rather complain about something they can't do a darn thing about your homosexuality (and mine), than do something about something where they could help. Send an hundred bucks to an AIDS charity, or write a letter to their Congressman about the war, or volunteer to be a big brother or big sister, or any one of a million other ways they could make the world better.

But they sit on their bar stool complaining about homosexuals. I don't know how to change that!

But more and more, as straight Americans get to know us, and to know that except for who we love, we are just not that different from them, we make progress. Keep the faith.

These people are probably looking for a distraction to keep them from doing something that they ought to be doing because the problems that you are mentioning take a lot of effort and determination (much more than that, actually -- the problems are much too great and often involve risk or danger), and those people are just too lazy and want to do the little things that they can do in order to give themselves a little pat on the back, even if the things they do cause harm or discomfort to others. Also, a lot of these people do not want to leave their comfort zones nor do they want their comfort zones altered.

Anthropologically, in over 70 percent of human societies homosexuality was considered normal. Only in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam was it banned. In a world filled with hate why is it wrong for me to love a woman? Does the God you worship truly abhor love?

God you people are pathetic. So full of hate. First off not all homosexual men have anal sex secondly what difference does it make to you. They are not trying to screw you so get a grip. Look at how screwed up your own life is first before you point the finger at us just because of who we love.
I can love a man or a woman at the same time. The human heart has the capacity to love many people you need to read the bible and know that Jesus Christ gave us two commandments love your fellow man and love God. He didn't tell us to hate.

Yes, it is a distressing statement about "Humanity" that, in the main, we only concern ourselves with what we see on our own doorstep. News items of wars or famine only merit 3 minutes of airtime in any given showing and, worse, we can just switch channels or go to the funnies.

I, too, have a hard time understanding what perceived threat there is; among those who do have a problem with non-heterosexuals.

I suppose we can only hope to lead by example - in the (perhaps vain) hope that, eventually, those people will recognise that we mean them - and society, in general - no harm.

Homosexuality is the love of one person for another person of the same gender. I understand it conceptually. I accept it within myself.

I do not understand it biologically. Within myself, it is a confusing mess of hormones and feelings. Most of the confusion is derived from the ignorance with which I was nurtured.

All the books I've read shed some light on homosexuality, but not to the level of being comfortable in my own skin.

My focus has been on the issues revolving within and around civil rights. Imposing a ban on same-sex marriages imposes against the civil rights of a specific group of people AND imposes the religious decrees of one religion upon many. It is comparable to the laws of Islam enforced in Islamic countries. It is odd that Christendom and Islam are at odds when Christendom wishes to be as strict with it's adherents as Islam is with theirs.

If the leaders of Christendom truly wish to enforce "God's Law" on "God's People" and "God's Enemies," they could learn from Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the Taliban for they do that very same thing today.

Restrictions on sex are basic to any society. I have nothing against homosexuals, but I thought that I would point this out. I would also like to say that most people use any difference against people. That's just the way things are. The world is an ugly place.
