Diabetes will cause erection dysfunction. First of all, make sure your diabetes is well controlled. If you need to, lose weight. Daily exercise will also strengthen your cardiovascular system and help all your body parts. That said, there are several methods for diabetics to use to maintain erections.
1. Viagra or other chemical agents.
2. A pneumatic pump that uses a vacuum to pull fluid into the penis.
3. There are suppositories that can be inserted into the urethral opening that will help maintain an erection.
4. Chemical injections to the base of the penis increase the blood flow.
5. Surgically implanted devices can make the penis rigid. Some have air bladders that can be inflated and deflated as needed.

All these require that you see a qualified physician. Answers on the Internet are NOT a substitute for seeing a doctor. Good Luck and Good Sugars!

I want to share my experiences with Viagra. I am a healthy 43 year old 250 lb 6'2" man with the exception of erectile dysfunction (ED). I can attain an erection on my own, I just have trouble maintaining it for longer than 15 minutes.
I went to my doctor and while he saw no problem with me taking Viagra, he wanted me to try other methods (therapy, visualization) before prescribing the blue pill. I had no problem with my doctor's refusal for a prescription.
I had no intention of filling the prescription in my local or any pharmacy for that matter where I would most certainly be attended by a young lady. All I wanted from my doctor was the OK that I was fit to take Viagra.
I've been ordering Viagra online for quite some time now. I've experimented with different vendors, dosages etc. Below I give you the good and the bad.
Best Dosage
I have found that 50mg works best for me. Twenty five mg did nothing noticeable and 100mg gave me a very bad headache. It's most cost effective to purchase 100mg pills and split them.
Erections lasting 2-3 hours. Woohoo! Not only that I was able to climax but 4 hours later (wife woke me up cause she wanted more) I was able to resume sexual activity with an erection lasting more than 30 minutes. One 50mg dose allowed me to achieve and maintain erections over a seven hour period. Amazing.

Viagra lowers your blood pressure. My neck and ears become red and hot to the touch. I occasionally get the "sweats" and feel a thumping in my chest.I have not experienced vision blurring or seeing a blue tint over everything. These effects have NOT diminished with usage.
Being a scorpio I plan just about every interlude I participate in. So the days that I know I'll be using
Viagra I go through a ritual.I usually have a heavier than normal lunch2-3 hours later I have a meal replacement bar, energy drink or piece of fruitdinner is lighter than usual1 hour after dinner I pop the pill half an hour to 1 hour later I initiate foreplay
Note: In case you weren't aware, Viagra will only work if there is sexual stimulation. If you take Viagra and wait around for an erection without so much as a stiff wind blowing on you... you will be waiting for a long time.
So, half an hour after taking the pill, you should be into the petting or foreplay mode.If you are considering using Viagra or any other medication, se your doctor first. Question him/her.
If you are too embarrassed to fill your prescription, then order online.
There is no reason to live with ED any longer. Allow yourself to enjoy this slice of life again.

I am a registered Nurse and have worked expensively in the field of urology. Consult a Physician. As a resource a device called the RU 486 is available. It is a pump which aids in erection. I have seen this used quite often with patients who have renal failure. Try and control your Blood Sugar. A glycemic index needs to be established for you with a dietitian, under the advice/ supervision of an MD. Good luck and...happy pumping. lol

Your doctor is expecting this question...

All male diabetics are prone to ED, in the same way that we lose feeling in our feet... it's all down to neurological damage, from the poor microcirculation that we're blessed with.

As has been noted, there are pills, there are pumps, there are implants and there are (My eyes are watering at the thought ) injections... but none of us here know anything about your, individual case, so we are not qualified to advise you.
We can assure you that is good reason to hope for a successful outcome, but you will have to work with the professionals on that...

Very good luck to you.

Boyfriend has the same problem..there are numerous medications for this! Also testosterone injections! We already used viagara, and are going to try couple other medications, then just pick the one that works the best!! Be careful though, sometimes, may get an erection for a longer period of time, than you really want!! Best of luck!!!

Since you are already diabetic, I will not suggest any other implant and supplements that the others are recommending. a word of advise, before you eat or do anything, do make sure you consult your diabetic doctor before committing.

your erection dyfunction is mainly from your diabetic and the only cure is to cure the diabetic condition. Take focus on your food, avoid sugar, have regular exercise and take the right prescripyion and follow exactly what the doctor tells you.

whatever it is, good luck, you can email me if you need someone to talk to.

Excessive masturbation does not cause a weak erection.

hey dude, i would talk to your docter about taking some injectable testosterone, such as test cypionate or enethate. it will cure all your problems for erectal and sex drive perposes, and is safe for diebetics. if you cant gt from your docter, youll have to get it illegaly. it will also make your quality of life better. a very safe dose would be 100 - 200mgs a week. i hope i helped!!

Consult your doctor or a specialist in urology. Don't be a subject of non-professional advices that may harm you further given the fact that you are already a diabetician
