Since muscles aid in blood flow, they aid the movement of nutrients. Of course the heart is a muscle as well and it does more than aid blood flow.
As for respiration, inhaling would be just about impossible with out certain muscles. Muscles are used to expand the volume of the chest cavity, creating a lower pressure than atmospheric pressure in the lungs, which is what bring the air into the lungs.

Sounds like the throat muscles because they aid in breathing but you also use them for swallowing food and drinks.
