We are trying to get pregnant with twins, is there any way of improving the odds?

i've been told by my obgyn that it's only possible if the female has either identical or fraternal twins in her bloodline...and it usually skips a generation...for example, if you or any sibblings are twins then you may have twin grandchildren but not children. However, the odds for twins reguardless does increase with age...the older the female is at conception of pregnancy the greater the odds for twins.

My husband's father is an identical twin so we were hopeing to have twins but my obgyn shattered our dreams to pieces....my husband's sisters, however, have a pretty high chance of conceiving identical twins. My luck!!

The only other way is small increase in odds with taking chlomid....and invitro fertilization....then they can implant more than one embryo.

I have read and know that taken clomid will give you a 15% chance of having multiple birth, but 1: you have to get a doc to give you a prescription 2: Clomid will increase your chance of having twin as well can give you other side effects that you might not want (for more info go to Clomid web-site)
the best advise I can think of is that if you want it so bad is to
get IVF tell the doc that will be doing it to make sure you have twin

you have to have twins in your family,it goes by the mother side, I have alot twins in my family, I had twin boys, and there is no position to make sure you have twins, you shouldnt care about having twins you should just be happy to have a healthy baby.

i have twins but they run in my family its just pot luck thers no way you can improve your chances and twins are extreamly hard work

you have to have twins in your blood line mostly. but go to the doctor and see if they can help you
