I couldn't do it in order, but there they are... although, those are probably the top five PUNK rock bands instead of top five rock bands in general...
If I was doing it in general, though, I'd have to add in some Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Guns N' Roses, the Beatles... but that's just too difficult...
