They took a break but everyone assumed that they had split up because Mike Shinoda started a new project - Fort Minor.
They are currently recording a new album in the studio and expect to release it at the beginning of 2007.

Linkin Park always belonged to my favorites. I decided to join the LPU after seeing them live about two years ago and I have never regretted this decision. LPU is the best fanclub ever. Seriously, I've never seen members of any band chatting with their fans on the net, meeting them in person before concerts or just taking care of them so much as LP does. And that's the reason why I love this place (and band) so much. Their dedication is seen in everything, including the membership packages. I can't imagine not being a part of this great community. The LPU should rather be called a family than a fanclub

I just found out they're making a new album! Yeah! LP ROCKS!
But I'm not sure if it will be as good as the first album, so i'll say this in advance....
"I can't feel, the way I did before. Don't turn you're back on me, I WON'T BE IGNORED!!!!"
