I'll start the ball rolling with Jefffrey Loria of the Marlins. Yes I am a former Expo fan but he'd get my vote anyway for falling out with Joe Girardi who is doing the most with least in MLB.

If there is a more worthless owner in sports than KC Royals owner, "wal-mart billionaire david glass" it would be hard to imagine...In all the years he has owned the Royals he has yet to put one single dollar of his own money into the franchise...The Royals spend LESS in player salaries every year than they receiver from MLB in compensation!!

Glass hired his son to run the front office and his son-in-law as GM...None of them knew a damn thing about baseball...Ya think it shows! The Royals have been the worst franchise in MLB since they took over...The best they have done in the past three years is finish 29th out of 30...The Royals are again 30th this year 4 games back of number 29...

The good news is, it's not difficult to get tickets to a game..FREE..Or find a good parking spot at the K...

Ewing Kauffman must be rolling over in his grave..

Jeffrey Loria is right up there with the biggest morons in ownership...he has done a good job, but when your team has overexceeded expectations, there is no way you can downplay the role of the manager that much.

I used to have a big issue with the DevilRay ownership...not cause I am a fan, but because they refused to call up prospects so they would not incure any service time...thus avoiding arbitration...cheap asses! That gets my vote for worst ownership in the game.

(Although, not signing Johnnny Damon over a couple million, gives Boston ownership a chance to move up there too!)

I'd go with Loria here. He killed baseball in Montreal because the fans wouldn't buy him a ballpark with tax money...and then got a sweetheart deal from buddy Bud Selig to get his hands on a quality ballclub in Florida... which he promptly used to hold yet another city ransom for a ballpark.

And when they refused to pony up, he sold off their stars and went rock-bottom with payroll.

The guy is a billionaire art dealer and businessman... and he runs his franchise by taking MLB's handouts and crying poverty every chance he gets. If it were possible to pay his players in food stamps and coupons, he'd have already started doing it.

Kevin McClatchy - Pittsburgh Pirates

We have clinched our 14th consecutive losing season, AND IT'S STILL AUGUST FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!!!!!!! One of the worst seasons in National League history. Every team still has a realistic shot at the wild card. But not the Battlin' Buccos. He needs to sell the team to Mark Cuban immediately.

In the modern day I think you are correct but peter Mcgowan for the S.F. Giants may run a close second. But I believe that neither of them could hold a candle to Marge Schott from the Reds!

Appearently you are forgeting McClatchy of the Pirates. Sure the Marlins get dismantled when they win the World Series BUT at least they get their and win.

David Glass, its criminal how hes turned the KC franchise that had been so great into a common joke among baseball fans. He has the money to turn everything around but he doesn't.

Steinbrenner (is that how u spell it?) Anyway, he sucks...I don't have a real reason, except that he owns the Yankees, and for a Red Sox fan, that's reason enough!!!!
