I have read on some pregnancy websites that one probable symptom of early pregnancy is painless contractions. This has nothing to do with the baby moving because its too soon for the baby to move. It feels just like when you take a short breath inwards and your tummy moves but its more constant. Has anyone else experienced this type of feeling 8 weeks 6 -8 weeks into pregnancy?

Surely the presence of HCG would be a far truer indicator of pregnancy as would not menstuating.
go get a test
Braxton Hicks isn't until the very latter stages of gestation

I had the same thing with both pregnancies. Your uterine wall is just begining to stretch.. and it can cause a muscle contraction as a reaction to the forced tissues. It's not a "delivery contraction" more like a "reaction".
You will feel this off and on as the uterus and the muscles and tissues surrounding are stretched and forced out of place. It can be painful sometimes if you are very thin or have narrow hips. But it does go away. In this case lay down on your left side which takes pressure off the tissues. Drink plenty of water to allow them to stretch more readily.
Congrats and hope you have an easy delivery !

well 6 weeks into my pregnancy I got awful cramps like I thought something was really wrong. This happens they say as the baby is foring according to what I read now this was like 3 years ago. I would also get pains and twinges here and there.

I've never heard of that b4.
I know you can get Braxton Hicks contractions later on, but never heard of getting them at the beginning.

I am currently 12 weeks pregnant and am still getting these little achy feelings, but not as much as I was a bit earlier on.
my midwife said that its just my muscles contracting and getting ready for the baby getting bigger. as long as they are'nt sharp pains I would'nt worry.
A friend of mine also had them too.

You can get period like pains at first. It's something to do with the egg going down the fallopian tube and attatching itself to the womb. Thats where the pain comes from. If you are concerened at all, see your Dr.

Why don't you just take a first response test.....If it's negative, make an appointment with your doctor, if positive, make an appointment. Go see your doctor to find out what's going on with your body!

embryo may have attached itself inside your uterus right next to a strong nerve. Causing muscle spasms. You should be okay. Make sure you mention this to your ob/gyn.
