The speed of light is 3 * 10^8 m/s.
And now....Darkness is not an independent quantity. Darkness prevails where light is absent.

In the terms of Physics, Darkness is neither a Scalar nor a Vector quantity. Thus its Velocity/Speed cant be defined. :)

Speed of light is the universal constant (c) 186,000 miles per second in vacuum. It slows down in denser mediums which is why you get diffraction in water and glass.

You can measure the speed of light by taking the revolving plate out of a microwave. place a chocolate bar in and heat for a few seconds (untill distinct hotspots melt into the chocolate) measure the distance between the melted points and multiply by 2 to get the wavelength of the microwaves. Then divide by the frequency which is printed on the back of the microwave.
Hey Presto- the speed of light! Celebrate with the chocolate!

The Speed of Darkness, this would probably be dependent on the gravitational field of a singularity resulting in an event horizon.

A very intelligent question.
Actually in theory the darkness is faster than the light.
Do you know how? Guess!
Ok. I tell you. Let think it is near sun shine time and Sun is going down, and here on earth we have a very very tall tree. And you stand near that with an axe. You start to cut it and fall it down with a very high speed and the tree falls down on the earth.
If you have all of these chances, you will see that the tree is on the earth and for a little time (less than a second) we have still shadow of tree on the ground.
Speed of light is about 300,000 Km/second. And if this theory will be true, the speed of darkness (lightless) would be a bit more than light.

There is no such thing as the speed of dark - this bit must be facetious. If you have true darkness this is the absence of light.

The speed of light is as fast as any material object can travel. This is shown by Einsteins theory of Special Relativity, and this has been demonstrated to work many times. In numbers it is 3 x 10^8 meters/second in metric, 186,000 miles per second in imperial units.

Light is the presence of photons and darkness is the absence of photons. It takes about eight minutes for sunlight to reach the earth. It takes only 2.5 seconds for a strong laser light to make a round trip from a reflector on the moon. If you sent a laser beam pulsed at one second on and one second off toward the reflector, the pulses of light and darkness would arrive back on earth with no change in their intervals. In a sense the light and following darkness both traveled at the speed of light. Of course the darkness has no substance or energy and its trip is more like an imaginary car and driver.

The speed of light is 299,792,458 meters per second. No, it is not faster than the speed of dark since dark got there ahead... in fact, light has to penetrate it first.

A very good question. But you think there is far more dark mater than light so light as to brake though the dark. May be science can come up with the answer for you.

speed of light is way faster than speed of dark. speed of dark exists only when there's no speed of light.

Light travels at a constant, finite speed of 186,000 mi/sec. A traveler, moving at the speed of light, would circum-navigate the equator approximately 7.5 times in one second. By comparison, a traveler in a jet aircraft, moving at a ground speed of 500 mph, would cross the continental U.S. once in 4 hours
