They possibly should. I would guess that they get surrounded in a world of the abstract and lose sight of reality. So, they probably do need to do something which helps to keep them grounded to reality. This common sense test that you speak of could probably be designed in a way good enough to determine if a politician is thinking clearly enough to make good decisions and so it probably would be a good idea. Don't all non elected government jobs make you take a test? I suppose whatever applies to them should also most likely apply to government officials. Your idea seems better the more that I think about it. I would have to say a definite yes, although maybe not under those exact conditions.

Gee's no, we'll have to pay for that too...and they won't use their certificates to change anything even with common sense. But will fail purposely, to repeat the course who knows how many times just to add their need for special educational classes and build from there another empire. Thanks for asking.
