My 5 half of month historic son's hair is doing the samething, I located some in his crib. But he's now not totaly bald it can be like a buzz reduce however except for the highest front he still has a patch of curly hair left lol. He was once born with a full head of dark brown hair. The hair is growing again in however slightly lighter - sandy blonde. However you'll find your dr if you want peace of intellect but i suppose it is the new hair growing in. I shall be seeing my dr soon for his 6 month app so i am asking him too. I'm hoping this helps! :)

Yes, this is very normal. Babies usually have bald patches on the back of the head where the head is in contact with the bed. My son had a baldy spot all around the head too since he tosses his head back and forth. The hair will start growing back soon enough.

My son is six months old and was born with lots of dark hair, after he had a bit of cradle cap at around 4 months, his hair started to fall out in patchy clumps (which I found rather upsetting). He now has a thick head of blond hair. I have asked my health visitor about it in the past and was told that babies hair often falls out and then regrows to a different colour, so don't worry about the colour change or hair loss. I'm sure that your baby will grow a beautiful head of hair soon enough.

My son is 6 months and has patches around his head where his hair has come out, I checked with my health visitor and she said that it is normal.
As for colour change, that is normal too. My niece was born with jet black hair and now at the age of 7 has blonde hair.

As long as the scalp looks healthy and the shaft of hair then this is a normal part of a babies development. The lost hair will be replaced and it may even be a different color. Get baby checked ou if the scalp or hair shaft looks in poor quality in case of various treatable diseases.
I work with babies for a living and this question comes up frequently x

It is absolutely normal. Sometimes you see babies with a bald patch at the back of their head which is caused with them lying down and just rubs out. The hair is just very fine and thin to start with. He will soon grow it all back again. If you are concerned at all have a word with your health visitor.

Oh yes, it's quite normal. Lots of babies are born with one hair colour only to have it fall out and grow back in a completely different one. One of my cousins was born with white blonde hair- now it's black.

yes it is normal for a baby's hair to fall out, its happened to all my children and grandchildren, and the hair does return back long and healthy. if you are quite worried go and see your health visitor. i had a friend and her daughter was born with loads of brown hair, and after a few months it went blonde. the daughter is 14 now and still blonde.
