1) Get some good bacteria into your body. Go to the natural heath food store for this. It will come in powder form, and you can mix it into protien shakes. It will state it has live active cultures or Probiotics.
2) Water, lots of it.
3) Protien shakes.
4) Protien bars.
Do this for about 2-3 days.

You will not find any reliable medical/scientific references to 'detox'.
'Detox' is a myth. It is nonsense.
If you want to cheer up your doctor, ask what you have to do to 'detox my body'. There will be plenty of laughter.
It is your liver that breaks down any chemicals that should not be in your body. This includes the obvious things such as alcohol, aspirin, cocaine, antibiotics, etc.
Your kidneys will then excrete the breakdown products into urine.
You might find it interesting to ask anyone who talks about 'detox' and 'toxins' to specify exactly what they mean - you will then realise that they have no idea what they are talking about.
Nor do people who recommend enemas, laxatives or colonic irrigation.
As for protein shakes - why not eat delicious meats and fish?

Don't follow these faddy detox 'diets'. They aren't healthy.
Eat only fresh fruit and vegetables and fish/chicken/turkey, you can eat red meat, but only very occasionally - it's difficult to digest. Make sure you eat plenty of wholemeal bread to provide the roughage to keep your bowel healthy.
Drink nothing but water and fresh fruit juice - not processed stuff. (no too much juice - dilute it with water).
This leaves plenty of things so you can vary your diet to keep things interesting.
You'll soon see the difference.
This is what the human body was built to run on, not the packaged and processed muck that factories pump out.

Personally I believe we are FULL of toxins so in order to detoxify...lots and lots of water, clean out the colon(enyma or laxatives) and fast for a day or two, and of course no smoking.

Fast for 3 days - eat really early and at dusk time only. 4th day, start on water solutions - soupy stuff and plain water with boiled veggies. continue for 4 days and u will see something change. keep it moderate tho!
