If you are asking the question - then you need an electrician - don't play with electricity unless you know what you're doing!

You should get an electrician to fit your lights for you if you don't know how!

But here goes..

1. Turn of mains power to house or room..
2. Open socket for the light..
3. You will see three wires going in to the socket..
(Take note of the colors and where they go - this is Important)
4. Loosen the 3 screws holding the wires in their clamps in the socket.. Keeping a firm grip on the current light fitting so it doesn't fall onto the floor.
5. Take your new light fitting (triple light) - locate the 3 wires - make sure to insert the the same way you removed the ones that were already there.
6. Close socket
7. Turn mains back on and enjoy the fruits of your labour.

Make sure to be careful - if your new fitting needs to be mounted on the ceiling, mount it before wireing it up.

Electricity kills if you don't respect it - don't be buzzin' all over the place. Take it easy - make sure to double check every step.

If by a triple light you mean a fixture with 3 bulbs then it's not that hard. The fixture will come pre wired so all you have to do is hook one set of wires to your power supply.

First turn off power! Then loosen the old fixture from the box. Pay close attention to how the wires are connected before you disconnect them and then wire the new fixture the same way. If you think you could get confused by this project then get an electrician, otherwise you'll end up with a nice fixture with the house burned down around it.

Good Luck

Buy the desired light fitting, remove the old one remembering to disconnect the electric from the mains and then fit the new one.All fittings are connected to one single ring of wire so the only difference will be that you will have to secure the light with a couple of screws into the rafters to hold the weight.the connections are the same as a plug and will be labled.

If you're in the UK....

If you are talking about wiring up 3 individual lights to one circuit. Then that counts as circuit expansiobn and you're need to satisfy Part P regulations.....unfortunatly this means getting a certified sparky or getting the council to sign off on the installation ( where you provide drawings, risk assessment etc )

rubbish I know, but this is the UK nanny state now.

If you choose to ignore the law you just need to parallel up the circuit from the first light you have. ;-)

You phone an electrician and ask them to do it for you.
Not something you should be trying to do yourself, unless you are experienced with DIY.
Electricity is very dangerous stuff.
If you are going to have a go yourself I have included a website which gives you some help.
Good luck!

jump from one light to the other connecting them in parallel. this way, all three lights will be controlled by the same switch.

Not sure what you mean. Do you really mean to build ("make") a new lamp with 3 bulbs out of an old lamp with one bulb, or to you just want to CONNECT a new lamp in place of the old one....?
