My g.friend was slagging me the other day that im 6yr off 30 an i got a sick feeling in my stomach....why would i be scared of being 30...any1 else like that or just paranoid me!!

Age is just a number, it's how you feel that counts.
I dreaded 30, but when I got there it was nothing different. Then I really dreaded 40, but on the day I realised that I was no different to the previous day.
Actually, since turning 40 I have felt more confident and happy in myself than at any other time in my life. Although it helps that everyone says I look 10 years younger than I actually am :)

People are all paranoid about their age. As a child you always want to grow up quick, yet you are sure you will never become a beast like most adults. As you grow older you start worrying about the time running tooo fast and your not catching up with all you've planned. Then you start thinking, when I was younger i had so many terrific possibilities and i muffed it.
Relax, you'll get over your paranoia of hitting 30 when you're 31. Then you'll start thinking life ends at t'age of 40 and anything over 40 is a bonus... and so on

When I was 24 I didn't want to be 30 either, but now I'm nearly 34!!! I love being in my 30's, I'm so much more confident and at ease with myself and the world around me. I know that every 30-something will say this, but I wouldn't want to be in my early 20s again... so for now, I'm staying in my 30's!

The numbers ending in "0" are more frightening somehow. Maybe because it is a step up.
I turned 50 last year and it was an awful experience. I will be 51 this week and it will be just another day.
Strange how the mind gets thrown by a zero isn't it?

Come on guy! My son is older than you! I was 30...24 years ago! My 30s were great! I was old enough to afford the insurance on a Corvette, and young enough to feel “old”! Most of the time life just gets better as you get older!

Yes totally,because when we were kids 30 was ancient...
I have talked to people and they say the big 3.0 was more daunting than 40.
There's nothing we can do I'm afraid....you may realise that when you get to 30 nothing much has changed,you're as young as you feel.....keep smilin'

I am 18 years old. I am also scared of being old... I am not scared of being 30, I just do not want to be old, you know? But I guess I will like being old and older because we will get used to that :-)

Are u sure that you will live another 6 years to get to 30?? Definately not sure... so do worry about this thing.. not about to get to 30
