Any recommened products, tips etc much appreciated. The slate is a bit stained from white spirit and I'm having difficulty getting it clear.

A company called Liberon produce a cleaner for slate they also have a sealer.

my gran used to clean her hearth with carnation milk wash and dry the hearth then wipe it over with olive oil. this gives it a lovely shine and also helps to protect it .

you'll find bee's wax make's as a good effect
