Why is Florida so great and New Orleans still a dump?

Why is it we get 10,000 hurricanes and survive just fine. We have some crime, some fraud etc associated with storms but we do not have the whiny crying bs that came with Katrina. It wasnt the storms fault, it was the residents fault so to hell with them. As far as I can tell, they were sponges off the system anyway so do you really care? Come on now people, how many really give a rats *** about them people and if you claim you do...then why are you not there volunteering? Uhh maybe, youre afraid youll get robbed like the rest of EMS had to endure. So why is it Florida residents are so prepared and the welfare state of Louisiana couldnt prepare or clean up after ONE?

I think you hit the nail on the head, the Katrina victims are leeches. They all got a free ride. Some of them are STILL living in free housing provided by the government.

Here it is in a nutshell, you compassionate person, you. The reason New Orleans flooded in the first place was the fact that the politicians (not the people you're talking about) put the Federal Monies in their pockets and didn't built the levees to the standard that it was suppose to meet. N.O. has been through as many hurricanes as Florida. And I do have to agree they whine and don't try to take action. Thank Mayor Negin for that. He has a big mouth and manages to piss everyone off. On the MS Gulf Coast where the eye of the hurricane passed, you don't hear the whining and waiting for FEMA to come to the rescue. They try to do for themselves. We lost everything in Waveland and floated on an icechest for 6 hours. The Feds and Troops passed us right by to get to New Orleans the morning after the storm. So, I'd say until you walk in someone's shoes who was actually there for Katrina, you really don't have a right to be complaining about something you know so little about. Please step off of the soap box, ok? Sounds like you're whining....Godblessyaanyway!~

The money that is supposed to fix New Orleans is handed down to several various different channels that, by the the time the money gets to New Orleans, there is only enough money left for the politicians and the business contractors. No Republican or conservative seems to want to do anything to help the residents return back to their homes in New Orleans, but you'll do everything in your power to keep the out of New Orleans, including call the Katrina Hurricane a blessing in disguise. Since you consider black people unattractive for business, well then, who the phuck cares? Phuck you, you neo-Nazi F.A.G.G.O.T. The reason you ain't helping out because you decided that polishing off Bush's dik was a better way to spend your time. You typed up this bullsh*t while you were on break.
