There are 2 lights in that year Accord. The MAINT REQD gentle and the surely examine engine gentle. Any respected mechanic could understand a thanks to reset the upkeep gentle. purely carry the holiday meter even as you turn the major to the run position and keep conserving it till it is going out. regrettably, i don't believe of this is actual your situation. A flashing engine gentle continuously means that a automobile is misfiring. you possibly desire new plugs or have a defective coil. There are also little seals that keep oil from getting from the valve prepare all the way down to the spark plug wells. If those are undesirable then oil contained in the spark plug tubes will reason a misfire, as well. not something too difficult or too expensive.

Are you talking of the Maint indicator that turns yellow to red? if so use the your key and slide it into the slot next to the indicator. If its a Yellow check engine light that will reset itself when you turn off the key. If the light always stays on you have a hard code and the car will need to be repaired

u can either unhook the batter or take the i back up fuse out of the fuse panel...its easier to do the battery.. let it sit for a few minutes then hook it back up it should be reset if it comes back on then u have a problem...and contrary as to what other people have said here u cant take it to autozone to have it checked and cleared..its what they call a obd 1 car and autozone cant do them..u have to jump the service conector and watch the flashes on the check engine light...better left for a pro to be honest then u will know whats wrong with your car

the pcm defaults to a preprogram when a check engine light is on so your car will still run and drive normal but there might be a problem within the system check the code before you clear it, to clear the code on your accord open the engine compartment fuse box and remove the ecu, stop/horn , and hazard fuse for a couple of minute and reinstall it

try disconnecting your negative battery terminal, turn your key to the start position for 30 seconds. then reconnect your battery.
if this doesnt work, go to autozone and ask them to hook up to diagnostic to see what is causing you check engine light to come on. then ask them to reset your light, sometimes they will.
