Does anyone know a real-life shapeshifter?

Question

I mean they can turn into an animal of some sort at will?
I'm not asking a stupid question here there are real life accounts..

I don't know anyone like that, personally, but I saw something weird once. I was an early morning paper delivery boy for my own neighborhood. I would get up at 4am, load the papers into my paper-carrying vest and walk to each house dropping off a paper. One morning it was really foggy. I thought a saw a woman, in the fog, walking away from me. The outline looked like a naked woman. I looked closer and she seemed to get down on her hands and I thought I saw a tail. It was really weird. As for reall shape-shifters, there is one way to do that. I don't know much about it, or who might teach it, but there is supposedly a magickal practice that involves strengthening your etherial body, changing it's shape, and sending it out into the world. Kinda like remoter viewing or clairvoyance, but with your 'ectoplasm'.

There are 'shapeshifters' in the animal kingdom. Some animals, like chameleons (sp?) or some butterflies that make their wings look like a predators eyes etc.
If you are asking about humans, I'm afraid you're deluded. A person may disguise themselves as an animal (ape suit etc) or camuflage theselves, but as for 'transforming' into an actual animal at will??!!!

Most, if not all, accounts of shape shifting are either inaccurate (as in those fabricated during the witch hysteria to torture and kill innocent women for power), or were not PHYSICAL shape-shifting like that which you are implying in your question.

Someone above had the right idea. Shape-shifting is done on as astral level in which the person visualizes and feels themselves in the encasement of an animal that they want to appear/act as. They feel as the animal would. It is sort of akin to the ancient medicine men who studied the movements, habitats, and behaviours of the animals they hunted in order to hunt among them more efficiently (they wore buffalo skins on their backs to mask their human odors).

Although you're obviously not hunting the animal you are wishing to turn into, you have to study it, learn its mannerisms and attitudes. I hear its a wonderful experience to fly as a bird and feel the wind in your feathers. It all goes back to the old adage "I think therefore I am..." you are what you think you are. Although the trick is TRULY knowing and believing that you ARE the animal, not just a human pretending to be one. There is a difference. :-)

However, it is a discipline that must be learned through much practice! The term for someone who is able to utilitize this skill is called an Animagus.

Do I know of anyone? No. However various indigenous tribes across Latin America believe in what it is called the Nahuatl. This refers to a Chaman (witch), who can transform in various animals. You could do more research in this topic if you are interested in finding out on these shapeshifters

I swear my daughter can turn into a cat. She is 5, and ever since she was about 1 year old, she would periodically announce - "I am a cat now" and totally act like a cat (meow, purr - and she can really purr, crawl around and rub up against your leg, just like a cat), she really acted like a cat. She doesn't do it frequently now, but she would get in character and stay that way for quite a while.

My wife,she says everytime she eats cakes or chocolate her bum changes shape and it annoys her so much she turns into an animal when talking about it.
