I do this every day and my fiance thinks it's romantic. I stay up until he leaves for work, I get his shower going right when the alarm goes off, I also make his lunch and pack in to the lunch bag, write him a little love note for his night to go better, And in the morning I have a pot of coffee waiting for him, his breakfast ready as soon as he gets in the door from work and I great him with a big hug and kiss and ask how did his night go before I leave for my classes for the day.

I would say on my side .. we dated long distance (he was stationed in Germany and I was in Florida).. so I started a journal that I wrote in daily, with poems, thoughts, etc. It has such a big part of our history that when he was deployed for a year, he traveled with the two journals I wrote to him. During the deployment, I would send him daily video (he didn't have yahoo IM or any type of instant messenger just email) of our daily life, how much we missed him. Daily I wrote into a blog, created a tribute page to him and just stood by him the whole time he was gone. I think that romance is really just how you love one another or taken the time to keep the passion of love you share.
