go to an internet comparison site, such as approved.com or moneysupermarket.

Phone around quite a few companies and make sure they give you the exact details of how much you are expected to repay and over how many months.

The most important factor is the APR, as this figure can help you compare the rate of the loan. the APR tells you the interest rate which is the most important thing to consider when getting a loan, the lower the APR the better.

Also consider what happens if you cant keep up your repayments, the reputation of the company, any early exit fees etc.

Ask questions when you phone the companies and make sure you understand all the details, make them explain it to you again if you dont understand.

Good luck

It depends on the type of loan you're looking for... but research available lenders, get the best rates available and use that knowledge when you're negotiating the terms of the loan.

SHOP SHOP SHOP around....let them no you are looking at other options. They need to know that "they" are not you ONLY alternative. And make sure it is a "FIXED" interest rate, not on that flucuates! Check more than one bank, too!
