If they come here they should abide by OUR laws and not have so much bloody cheek as to want everything altered to THEIR way of life. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Come back Enoch Powell, all is forgiven!!! (Or, to put it another way, why don't they all just piss off to where they belong, and note, I said BELONG, not where they were born, so let's not have any of this nonsense about "Oh, but they were born here". A dog born in a stable is still a dog!)

Most Muslims who want Sharia want it for family law matters. Interestingly, when Ontario passed a blanket law allowing people to specify applicable law in their affairs, although it was intended for businesses -- even now Jews can specify that a rabbinican tribunal, a beth din, shall hear (legally as arbitration) their disputes, and the same for Muslims. But couples started specifying Sharia for matters of divorce settlements and inheritance -- for family law. This had human rights implications -- gender equality and "public policy" on children and adoption and inheritance -- and so the law was withdrawn as to family matters.
So now they want to try it here.
Only in Muslim countries, in Israel and in India -- and in the Philippines under its Civil Code for Muslims -- does religion determine what law will apply to a family. I don't think British people are ready for that yet.
