Voltage by itself is not deadly. Current can be deadly.

Differences in voltage generate currents, so they can be deadly too; but a constant voltage may be harmless, just think of when a bird comes to rest on a wire at high voltage and it does not get fried.

Even tho the voltage may be very high it is not dangerous of itself, consider the static electricity you see when certain synthetic clothing is rubbed, lots of voltage, but very little current. It is the current that can be dangerous if it is high enough.

Enough voltage to produce enough current through your body or to ground.A few ten milliamperes can kill.provided the voltage source has low enough internal resistance to deliver such current for a duration long enough to stop heart beat.
