We will always want more, i think evryone knows that materialistic thing can't make us happy for long but we all still want them i know i do, i would love to be permanently happy though actually maybe not- we'll probably get real bored- problems in life give us things to do and to learn from!

I think we will become totally happy and if we remain grounded we will not want more because we will have finally found contentment in what we have.

Check out the experiences of ultimate joy in '3 pillars of zen' -- you can skip the other stuff in there if you're not interested and just go directly to the descriptions of the people who had an enlightenment experience.

Nope, and let me tell you what happens to people who get happy and satisfied. Catastophe happens to ruin it all.
Or they die.
It is not in the scheme of life to be happy. Life is not designed to be lived happy. It is designed to be a lesson to build character thru sacrifice and hard times. I have never developed any kind of good character trait during times of happiness and plenty. You pick up traits like boredom and selfishness, and laziness, as well gamblng, and obesity, cheating, and all manner of things to alleviate the boredom of having nothing to conquer.

it is human nature to want more, there is always something eg: if you have just eaten the most luxurious piece of chocolate ever then is one piece going to be enough......if your partner is being mean, say he/she won't give you another one of those mouth watering kisses, then you are going to want more and more......happiness does come from within, my motto is think happy, then be happy...............

Totally happy!? A state of perfection?
I think that you can't properly appreciate contentment and happiness unless you know and appreciate what it means to be unhappy and discontented. We need the lows to understand the highs.
