The saying was first coined by someone who wasn't particularly worried about where his next meal was coming from, otherwise, he would have known that food, drink and shelter are the best things in life and they are definitely not free. Family, friends and God are of no use to you if you are starving in the street.

Yes, definately. Time spent with friends and family...free. Sweet kisses from my boyfriend...free. Watching some ****** get a ticket after he cuts me off and runs a red light...free :)

There are people who believe nothing is free and everything cost something. I believe love is free. Faith is free. Friendship is free...the ones who say its not are those who pay for it. If you have to pay for it then its not real....does this make sense?

Nothing is free. Even love takes time, money, effort and work but its my favourite because nothing else in life is worth it if you don't have love.
