the landlord came up with 312/mnth but i think it's wrong cause 72*4=288 and(72*52)/9=416...the contract starts 19/sept and ends 23/june

72*52weeks /12months =312 a month

It is 312 per month. 72*52/12 = 312. There are several months with more than 4 weeks.

72 x 52 / 12= 312

You can't just multiply it by four because the month doesn't exactly have 28 days. What you have to do is this:

72 pounds / 7 days = 10.28 pounds a day

And then you multiply that daily price for the number of days each month has.

72*4=288 this is your monthly
288* 12=3456 this is your yearly

Your landlord calculated by multiplying 72x52 then dividing by 12 thats the usual way

He is pulling the calendar month trick on you - tell him to piss off and give him £288 . or you will grass him up to the Council..Ask to see his Landlords Certificate.. And if he threatens you tell him your cousin- Mad Jimmy will come round and see him..
