Hi.

Based on the model information you provided, here's the URL of the user manual for your calculator:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/bpia5184.pdf

The instructions on changing the display are on page 88 BUT I strongly recommend you read the additional notes below. :-)

See page 13, page 17.

See page 50 - calculator rounds up or down if calculating a non-integer payment period (PMT). Maybe you are calulcating number of payments when you want to be calculating the amount of each payment? Anyway, it does allow you to change this.

See page 69 footnote:

* All amounts calculated when f [amcrt] is pressed are automatically rounded to the number of
decimal places specified by the display format. (The display format is described in Section 5.)
This rounding affects the number inside the calculator as well as how the number appears in
the display. The amounts calculated on your hp 12c platinum may differ from those on the
statements of lending institutions by a few cents, since different rounding techniques are
sometimes used. To calculate answers rounded to a different number of decimal places, press
[f] followed by the number of decimal places desired before you press [f] [amcrt]

See page 64, 86.
