Questions that get us thinking and using our imagination are great.
No radio or TV - if that meant no Internet too then it would mean no immediate access to the wider world and news events. I would find this tough and probably worry about what's going on. I would probably feel very insecure at first. I'd have to read newspapers, which would be OK but I can see huge problems with paper supply and more deforestation to provide it.
I don't have a TV but I do listen to the radio sometimes and I like to have the choice to do so. I like some TV but most of it is rubbish and it's a huge time-waster (not like Yahoo Answers eh?). I was once told 'to switch on the TV you have to switch off your brain' and I agree with that - mostly. So long as I could read, talk to friends and listen to music, I wouldn't mind no TV or radio - though I think it would make me even more insular than I already am.
As for no supermarkets, this would be a tough one for me as I like the convenience of big stores. Or do you mean we wouldn't be able to buy food at all? I guess I'd have to start eating stuff from the fields and hedgerows and I can see this would be very time-consuming. Probably wouldn't fill me up either so I might have to take to crime and break into other people's houses. I wouldn't want to do it but, heh, a girl's got to eat. If I got caught and sent to prison presumably that would be my food supply sorted out.

I can live without Radio and TV. I have often thought about what it must have been like before grocery stores existed.
People have to find ways of making food last longer than when it is available.
Sure you can catch fish, trap hares, shoot deer, catch ducks, grow fruit, potatoes, and other vegetables. This is fine in the summer when these are ready to be eaten.
What happens in the winter months when nothing can grow except in a heated greenhouse?
I have lived in places like India, and Fiji, Thailand, and Malaysia where supermarkets exist but they are generally stocked with things like tomato ketchup and things which you would not buy normally. People get food from local market places, where vegetables and fruit are sold in abundance for rock bottom prices.
Being a producer of food is the lowest common denominator in any society, and anything you do which adds to society other than provide food is peripheral to survival.
For sure supermarkets are not going to disappear, but people must realise how much they depend on them for their survival these days.

No supermarkets? I've always wanted to go to the proper market! Seriously! And I'd be OK without TV and radio, as long as i had my music and computer. Then again these are all luxury items and we don't NEED them. we've just adapted to them!!!!

We would all end up with better family's, Kids wouldn't be able to look up to idiots on the telly and try and act like them. I think it would bring back family values. As for no supermarkets, GREAT we could grow some veggies in our gardens or for those who don't have gardens go to the local shops or buy of our neighbours.

Living like this wasn't so very long ago in this country. There would be time for reading, time to hold a converation with someone. Time enough to show someone how very much you love them///focus would be sufficient living, not over abundance.
