it seems to me that if you have friends, that you are popular with them. In a few years none of these prissy girls will make a bit of difference. You don't want plastic friends, but real friends that value your uniqueness. Surround yourself with the people who build you up and make you feel good about yourself. Be who you are and kind to everyone and you will have plenty of people who like and respect you.

Don't force the issue. Just be yourself. Statistically, most popular 13-14 yr olds turn out to be targets. And some targets turn out to be "victims". Be careful, just be yourself. Trust me...
