I think they should have guard or at least a docent at the gate ... you know checking for mayonnaise.

In the day time our park is ok, so i would say yes to keeping parks open, as children do need somewhere to play in the day when they are off school. It's a shame that around my area the park warden is never around anymore,(don't think that there is one anymore). I live on the back of our local park and on a Friday night it is terrible, older kids are over there drinking and making loads of noise till the early hrs of the morning, the police don't do much about it either,at one point some of them came over into the road that i live in and were jumping on cars, kicking them and ripping off windscreen wipers and side mirrors, a few of the neighbours and myself rang the police and it took them 2 weeks to get back to to us for a statement. If they had come straight out they would have caught the kids that were wrecking the cars...

Public parks are essential as Fire Corridors. A proven way to get rid of the weirdos is to light up the park with blue lights...
Somehow that prevents crime, I don't really know the specifics.

Besides, parks are a good place for underages to go drinking. *smiles whistfully*

The question is too general for my taste, but that will not sway me from logically answering it. In general, public parks create value in the city to which the park(s) reside(s). This percepted value intern, creates an enhanced sense of well being for those whom reside within the city itself. Notwithstanding, the monetary perception and enhanced property value is what keeps parks, in a sense, parked.

Public parks are built for the communities to spend time in there, such as picnics, tournaments, and other activities. HOWEVER, some people use it in the wrong ways, such as selling drugs in there, attracting teens to join their beers at the time to do whatever they couldn't when stayed home.

Were else would you get the pleasure out of doing your wierdo stuff, you most certaintly would not be as amused doing it in the privacy of your own home (although I wish you would). So I think we should eliminate those people.

No! They are a benefit to society! Imagine if Central Park of NYC was destroyed...that would not be a wise decision.

Public parks are good for relaxation, walking and leisure. It might not be good for those who use it as a drug den, drinking liquor or waste of quality time with families.
