I'm not sure on that, but a B-25 crashed into the Empire State Building during the Second World War.

A B-25 bomber with a 3 man flight crew captained by Lt. Col. William smith slammed into the Empire State building on July 28, 1945.. It was travelling at 300 mph. and flying in a fog over Manhatten when it hit the North side of the 79'th. floor.. All 3 airmen were killed as well as 11 office workers. An engine slammed into the elevator shaft and forced the car to descend all the way to the basement (there was a woman inside who survived the ordeal.)

Sometime in the early '30s, if I recall. It was into the empire state building. I am too lazy to Google it for you. So sue me.
