I have uterin fibroids. Don't know when they creeped into my life, but for the last 4 months the cramps are increasing in intensity. I see a specialist in a month's time (in Alberta, Canada). How do I cope until he schedules me for a histerectomy?

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.

In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/lavPo

I have uterine fibroids. It all started 10 years ago. But I didn't have cramps. But I heard from a friend of mine, she had the same, but she had cramps, the doctor gave her some hormone medication, that helped her. I advise you to talk to your doctor.
