I am looking for some software that will help me to visulize my concepts in 3-D. eg. geometrical shapes, lattices, waves, molecules, structures etc.
I have seen many such 3-D images on the web and would like to know which software creates them. Animation of shapes like waves etc. would be great.
So if you know of such software do let me know.

More adapted to your needs seems to be MATHCAD. This can even show "physical objects" with more than three dimensions!
Others are AutoCAD mechanical Desktop (good 3D, but no animation, and more for manufacturing modelling)
I use both. They are great, but you need SOLID training to use them to the full.
There are others. Check the web.

Try 3D Studio Max or Maya. 3D Studio is more powerful, but very expensive. Most artists use Maya because it is cheaper and easier to use.
