i hear a project called haarp in alaska is blasting holes in it, i was wondering what wiull happen to us if the ionesphere is gone?

At the very least, worldwide communication via high frequency radio would become impossible, since it's the ionospheric bending of radio waves back to earth that allows skip propagation over long distances. Also, the solar radiation, including ultraviolet, which forms the ionosphere would instead reach earth's surface, probably increasing certain health risks.
