AN iPOd is no more than a large storage device which plays back audio and video (if you have the video version).
IT has an organizer to keep the media organized and simple controls.
It is no more than a glorified MP3 player at extravagant prices !!

Most people are not techno-geeks. They just want something that works and is easy to use.
MP3 players basically play music. But you have to put the music into them and you have to get that music into the earphones.
The iPod does this in the best way so far. That is why 70% of the people that buy MP3 players selected the iPod. It automatically loads the music you want. It plays back the song you want.
