This is what my plastic surgeon prescribed for me. It worked! Vitamin E works better. Buy it in gel capsules at the drug store. Stick a straight pin into the end of the capsule to "open" it. Squeeze a bit out and rub it on with your finger twice a day. It's cool, it's not stinky, it's just a natural oil. Good luck!

It is a thick cream. It is not like regular butter at all. It is fairly greasy on your face, so you could probably only wear it at night. A better option would be mederma. This has been tested for treatment of scars. You can buy it at the web site below. There are probably many other places to purchase it too. Check it out online and see if it would be something you would care to try. It is probably more expensive than cocoa butter, but if it works it would be worth it.

Cocoa Butter can be found in your health and beauty aisle of your local grocers, drug store, Wal-Mart, Cosco or what have you.
It comes in a lotion or in a thicker heavier form that looks sort of greasy. Color ranges from white to a golden tan or soft yellow. It is usually mixed with other ingredients like vitamin e or aloe among others.
You just put a little dab or blob on your finger tip and smooth over the area. Rub very lightly until it sinks into your skin.
Cocoa Butter helps dry skin, stretch marks, rough heels or elbows, and does help the appearance of scars if used regularly.
I like to use it after shaving or after swimming since it helps moisturize so well.

Cocoa butter is better as a preventive method for stretch marks. It does little for pre-existing scars. A better choice would be Mederma. You can buy it at Wal-Mart for about $12. It's made to make scars and stretch marks fade. It's a small tube of ointment, and you would just apply a small amount to your face where needed a couple times a day. It's proven to make a significant improvement in the appearance of scars and stretch marks.

It is in lotions so you would just apply as a lotion - you may also want to consider Mederma, Neosporin or the inside of a Vitamin E liquid capsule. Cocoa butter is more for just moisturizing or stretch marks during pregnancy, etc. :o)

It comes as a stick...not to eat thought lol...u get it at the local pharmacy or even supermarket. You apply it to your scar and keep rubbing it...it will become moist, and you'll see the liquid on your face...i suggest using at night before going to sleep...or even during the day...and it has to be kept on atleast 3 hours. And it really does work, i have used it and there are no scars at all. If you have any other questions my email is Airforcenone2008@yahoo.com

It is more like a thick mousturiser. The best ways to encourage healing is massaging the area. It will take alot of massaging every day. This really works as the wound is healing to prevent a scar in the first place but I think massaging still encourages healing. Good luck!

you can buy cocoa butter in the form of a face cream. they're sold at the face products isle in a drug store, such as Walgreen's (or anywhere where they sell face cream). just apply it on your face like any other face cream.

Vitamin E oil is better than cocoa butter. You get that at beauty supply stores or drug stores. All Cocoa butter will do is moisturize.
