Creating desire for objects we don't need - they are just increasing consumption and making us addicted to shopping. The average american sees 3000 ads per day. Enough already!

Hey, I'm looking at ads on the shopping cart and the urinal, don't say it is only 200. I can see 200 before breakfast. Open the newspaper and it is 60% ads.

I feel the same way about bill collectors! I was in a real bad time in my life and was unable to pay some bills as opposed to not eating and eating won out paying the bills but the bill collectors still called and didn't give a rats butt how hard my life just happened to be going. Its their Karma not mine. Its the same with some of the law enforcement people. They just get off on being horrible to humans that are just having a bad run in life sometimes. Not all bums are created equal. Ill never be able to understand why some people treat others like scum. As far as the marketing goes, I cured that one, I got rid of my television for good! Direct T.V. kept raising my rates every month and giving me no justification for the hike so I had it turned off! I don't miss it one bit, I read alot of books now.

There is an old adage that goes, "Nothing happens until someone sells something." If you think about it, it's true.

Enjoy the freedom of choice you have. Remember the scene from Moscow on the Hudson when Robin Williams, a defector from Russia, went into a supermarket to buy coffee? He was so overwhelmed by the choices he fainted.

By the way, how do you know you don't need something unless someone presents its features and benefits to you. Do you REALLY need a computer?

I also feel a bit disturbed when I meet a marketing or advertising person. I once became immediately un-interested in a cute girl for that reason--that her whole job involves producing and perpetuating lies.
