I have a friend who is 70, she used to be a party animal and loved to dance. She said "One day I looked in the mirror and saw all these lines and wrinkles and I thought - who did that to me?"
As we get older, the machinery begins to wear out. People can't dance as much, can't run as fast, can't be seen as beautiful so easily. No wonder some old people are grumpy. Perhaps you will be too. I suspect I will be.

Ya get older, you get more tired, things hurt, and that doesn't make everyday a carnival ride.
And I'm not grumpy all the time Just when I have to deal with morons. And my landlord. And when I see my paycheck.
If ya live long enough, you'll one day understand.

I THINK THAT IT IS BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE ARE NOT GRATEFULL ENOUGH FOR WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY HAVE. THEY ALWAYS WANT MORE, MY GRAND DAUGHTER WHEN SHE WAS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD, SAID TOME " GRANDMA " WHY DO I HAVE BLUE DAYS, OR SAD LIKE, I ASKED HER WELL "ASHLEYIAN", CAN YOU GET UP IN THE MORNING AND WALK OUTSIDE ? SHE SAID YES, I ASKED HER, CAN YOU HEAR "GODS " BIRDS SING ? SHE SAID YES, CAN YOU SEE "GODS" BEAUTIFUL SKY AND FEEL THE WARM SUN, SHE SAID YES,WHY DO YOU ASK ME GRANDMA, WELL I TOLD HER, THERE ARE LOTS OF PEOPLE WHO CAN NOT GET UP OR EVEN WALK AT ALL, SOME CAN NOT HEAR BIRDS SING, THEY CAN NOT HEAR NOTHING, SOME CAN NOT SEE THE SKY THEY ARE BLIND, NOW YOU ARE REALLY A VERY LUCKY LITTLE GIRL, SHE SAID GRANDMA I WILL NEVER HAVE A BAD OR SAD DAY EVER AGAIN, NOW SHE WAS A GRATEFULL AND THANKFULL CHILD, AND MOST PEOPLE FORGET HOW REALLY LUCKY THEY ARE INSTEAD OF BEING GRUMPY, THEY NEED TO BE GRATEFULL, PUT A SMILE ON THEIR FACE, AND BRIGHTEN UP SOMEONE WHO IS NOT SO LUCKY, DAYS. I think it is because they where so happy in there young years the way they where and now they have to put up with todays technoligy and the way we live.
