As much as I have always loved and been attracted to snakes, I find that so many more people are repusled by them or scared of them. Is it fear or disgust? I don't understand. Or anyone else like them, too?

A lot of people fear what they don't know. And snakes have been demonized as long as history has been around, hell snakes are even in the bible. (Oops, can I say hell?) And it's true that snakes ARE dangerous and there are more venomous and dangerous (constrictor) snakes then there are pet snakes. Snakes are precocial, so instinctually they have few connections to anything existing in their environment. At best, if you have a pet snake and respect it, you will have a good pet. But don't think that as a 5-6 ft. snake, that if you take it out for a drive on a hot day, that it won't constrict on you. It's instinct, not choice. <3

I like snakes because when i would go camping i would make it my mission to catch garden snakes the little non poisonous ones so i could hide them in my friends sleeping bags lol that was some good times.

I like them, I used to catch garter snakes when I was younger and wrap them around my wrists as bracelets.....my mom hated that! However I know better than to mess with the really dangerous ones too....but that's just common sense.

They're ok. The way they hunt their prey is interesting but their sensory perception is awesome. I think most people have a healthy respect for them, as it should be.

if the snakes aren't poisonous, I love them. if they're poisonous, I stay away for fear of being bitten XD

I dont like them if they are out of confinement, because i am scared, but in a glass tank of on tv or anywhere they cant get to me, i dont mind them.......

i do like snakes..they are very diffrent from other animals..How i wish to have these kinds of lovely pets... Others are afraid from these creatures because they think that it is very dangerous and they might be swallowed!!!..Ã
